Our Story

Meet the Blonde Stranger

She's a 1995 Hunter Legend 40.5 — a blue-water cruiser with soul, character, and just enough personality to keep you humble. We brought her home in May 2024 and she's been taking us on adventures ever since.

Docked at Port Clinton, Ohio, the Blonde Stranger is our ticket to the best thing in the Midwest — Lake Erie in the summer. Our favorite destination is just 20 miles across the water: Put In Bay, Ohio, a little slice of island life where the sunsets are gorgeous, the bass are plentiful, and the cold ones are always waiting.

We sail from late May through October each year, and every weekend on the water is one for the books. This site is where we keep the memories.

One of our best fall weekends — we passed under the Port Clinton bridge, made Put In Bay, explored the caves, and caught an incredible sunset. The lake was glass.

Sometimes the best weekends are the ones where the agenda is nothing. Mable found her spot in the cockpit and we found ours. Miller Marina is hard to beat.

4th of July 2025 — All Hands on Deck

Put In Bay on the 4th of July is something else. The whole family made it out, the fireworks were spectacular over the bay, and the Blonde Stranger had a full crew.
